Internet safety and Anti-bullying week
Mayhill know how to stay safe online and how to speak out.
The pupils at Mayhill (and parents) have been learning about how to stay safe online from visitor Paul Hay. Every year group was involved in a workshop to learn or recap the important rules of using the internet including, telling a trusted adult if you see or hear anything that worries you whilst using devices online.
On Thursday and Friday we were joined by visitors from the NSPCC, to learn about speaking out about children's rights and how and who to speak to if you were worried about something. We met Buddy the speech bubble and discussed the importance of being brave and talking about worries that we may have.
Well done to everyone - the whole school were very grown-up when answering questions and showed their understanding brilliantly. The cake sale was fantastic and has raised lots of money for the NSPCC - thank you to all of the bakers, they were delicious (and healthy at the same time!)
Thank you Paul Hay and NSPCC for helping Mayhill to stay safe.
