Year 3 have enjoyed a tremendous start to life at Mayhill. We have already earnt lots of house points and class marbles for our incredible behaviour and effort.  

Our PSHE focus has been on developing a 'Growth Mindset'. In class, the children were introduced to the 'Learning Pit' where we discussed the importance of failure and resilience, when learning something new. We watched this video to help us understand how it works. We have been talking a lot to the children about this journey, during all of our lessons. 

Take the time to talk to your child about the 'Learning Pit' and maybe share with them a time when you have found yourself at the bottom of the pit.
