Fishbourne Trip
Time Travellers
We had an amazing day visiting Fishbourne Roman Palace exploring how the Romans would have lived. We spent some time in the museum, discovering the artefacts that had been discovered by archaeologist, this helped us to learn what the Romans left behind and helped us to build a picture of how they lived. We also had fun dressing up as Romans and learning about the types of clothes that they wore and how they were different from the clothes we wear today.
We then got an opportunity to explore some Roman activities, including using the Roman alphabet to write our names on wax tablets, making mosaic designs, spinning wool and playing Roman games!
Finally, we were able to walk around the remains of the palace and enjoyed looking at the different mosaic designs that had been discovered. We were all amazed by how big the palace was and how incredible the Roman artefacts and remains are!
