Learning from Scratch
This term, Year 3 have been learning how to programme... from Scratch!
In our computing lessons, we have had an introduction to coding through a fantastic resource called Scratch. The children have learnt a little about how code works and played a game made using the software and discussed what they liked and disliked about it. After that, we challenged them to create their own character (sprite) and backgrounds, before they put blocks of code together to make the character move. It has been great fun, and the website is free to use at home. If you would like a rainy day activity over Easter, this might be just what you are looking for.
