Year 6 - Safer Internet Day

Year 6 know how to stay safe online

On the 5th February, Year 6 tested their knowledge of online consent during a busy day of learning, creativity and collaboration.

With so many children navigating their way around the world wide web, along with online gaming being, for some, a daily activity, Year 6 were testing their knowledge of the rules of staying safe online. They learnt about online consent, including cookies (not the chocolate chip kind), being kind online, what to do if they ever feel unsafe or unsure when using the Internet and showed their understanding by designing a board game.

Some thought they knew all there is to know, however they everyone came away from the day with new found knowledge and a better, more informed attitude towards being a better online citizen. Well done Year 6 - let's stay safe as we surf the web.
