All classes take trips to places of educational interest. The places we visit are usually linked to current topic work, but may be of a more general educational benefit. Written notice will always be given in advance, as parental consent is required, and because parental assistance with supervision is often requested. We usually ask parents to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trips, as we are unfortunately unable to cover the cost from our school budget.
During the autumn term Years 5 and 6 are given the opportunity to go on a residential school trip, we currently alternate year to year between Stubbington Residential Centre and Osmington Bay PGL Camp.
Children may also be taken off the school premises on occasion for purposes such as rehearsals in church, or topic work within the village. Parental permission for this is sought when the child starts with us, rather than for each instance.
