Maths is taught discreetly except where there are natural cross-curricular links. By now, children are using and applying Maths in a variety of contexts, developing their confidence and speed and making links between different areas of Maths. We use Power Maths to help us plan our progression in line with the mastery scheme of work. 

At the end of the year, Year 4 children are required to complete a times tables test, based on knowledge of times tables up to 12x12 with 6 seconds to recall and enter an answer.
