Rounders

In PE this half term, we have been working with the Active 360 coaches to develop our skills for rounders. In each lesson, we have a warm up to get our bodies and brains working. It is really fun and it involves Rock, Paper, Scissors – even Mr Barry and Mrs Ray have been getting involved.

Over the past few lessons, we have been learning how to bat with different size bats, working our way down to using a rounders bat. This has meant we could increase our confidence in hitting the ball. We have also learnt different throwing and catching skills to help with fielding when in a game of rounders. Finally, we have learnt all the different rules of a rounders game.

We have then put all of our skills together to play a massive game of rounders with all of the class.
