I’ve been a governor now for ten years, both a parent governor, chair of governors and now an associate governor. My children have both been through the local infant, junior and senior school systems. I became and am still a governor because I want to support the children of Mayhill Junior School to have the best possible school experience they can and achieve their greatest potential. I want to support the staff and head teacher of Mayhill to be able to fulfill their roles completely, despite the many challenges that come their way and lastly to empower parents to support their children’s junior school education to prepare them for secondary school and beyond.
