At Mayhill we recognise the importance of Religious Education in helping children to understand the world around them. We aim to help children to appreciate the way that religious beliefs shape life and behaviour, develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues and enhance their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Children are taught Religious Education through the Living Difference Cycle of Enquiry. We aim to provide a broad coverage of the main religions found in our community as well as exploring some secular belief systems. We encourage our children to ask questions about the world and to reflect on their own beliefs, values and experiences and make links between these and the beliefs of others.
