Space Dome

On Tuesday 17^th October, Year 5 had an out of this world experience. A visitor came with a pop-up planetarium and taught us about the wonders of space. To start, we looked at the planets and constellations. Then we learnt how to locate the North Star and how people use it to navigate. Finally, we watched a video about Galileo Galilei a Italian astronomer. He suggested the idea that the Earth wasn’t at the center of the orbit. Lots of people thought his theory was wrong but years later his point was proven correct. We had a great experience and would love to do it again.
